What I liked most about 2011

1. Adele, Wolf Gang, Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran, The Perishers, Lana Del Rey, Jessie J - may 2012's musicians continue to take a step away from the crowd.

2. Another One Bites the Dust/the Arab Spring - 2011 was a historic year all across the middle East, toppling dictators. And, for the first time, we saw women descend into the streets of Egypt, Tunisia, and Syria. May the stand for freedom continue!

3. The King's Speech, Black Swan

4. Gay marriage being legalised in New York - and boys kissing on Glee!

5. Libya being freed from 42 years of dictatorship

6. Pippa Middleton's gifted posterior has toppled an Empire.

7. Francois Hollande's victory at the French Socialiast Primaries - Martine Aubry never smiles and who wants their country to be led by someone like that?

 {facial expression: reaction to the rise of the SMIC}

8. The Japanese Red Cross - you are all amazing beings

9. The Chilean Miners - human resilience is a beautiful thing

10. The Deathly Hallows - the final episode of the saga marks the end of a decade dominated by two things - Bin Laden and Harry Potter

Wishing you a year full of smiles!
XO Cendrillon
