Office Supplies Make me Happy

Things that would be contained in my divine little blue satchel:
found this little guy over at miniseri
A Liberty pencil case that could also contain the odd lipstick or eyeliner
A Parker 'Sonnet' - simply a dream

Stacks and stacks of Moleskine notebooks

I am a self-declared stationary freak.

Picture Perfect Zoom-in: Diana Mini

Let's just elaborate for one moment on the analog photography wonder that is the Diana Mini, ladies and gentlemen. This litte beauty, as well as having the added bonus of the ability to do split frame (something the classic Diana does not possess), the Diana Mini has been subject of many revamps and re-designings, from cloth coverings to pretty prints. Here are a few of my favourites:

Picture Perfect

Those of you who have been following my blog for a while, you may remember that in my very first post I mentioned that I simply LOVED retro film photography.
Since then I have moved on from plain 'film' to specifically analog photography, the new love of my picture-snapping life. Here is my wishlist of Lomography cameras I am hoping to get my hands on some time soon:

This is the Lomo LC A+ Krab Underwater Housing - a waterproof case for the Lomo LC A+ (my personal baby), which takes those same charmingly grainy and whimsical shots as the plain Lomo. Hoping to scrape around the allowance barrel and sport this device on the beaches of Southern France this summer. £65.00

Drum roll for the Diana Mini! The most adorable Diana on the block, this is undeniably practical as it's SO light. Another advantage of the Diana Mini as opposed to the Classic Diana is that the Mini can do a split frame, so you can get double the amount of pictures. Oh, and it takes 35mm film, which is often easier to get hold of than 120mm (the size required for a Classic). £50.00 for the plain camera and £80.00 with flash.

Last but not least, the Fuji Instax 50S Piano Black: a recent renovation on a world favourite - the POLAROID! I personally find this model much more aesthetically pleasing than the slightly older Fuji Instax Mini 7S, simply because it is infinitely more chic. Just look at that sleek black silhouette! It takes pictures about the size of a credit card which develop within the minute. Tout simplement genius. £220.00

Beijing

You may have already guessed it, but Cendrillon is launching into what is starting to look increasingly like a very jet-settish summer, by flying halfway around the world to go to China for two weeks! I am extremely excited. By the way, pictures of Paris will be up shortly, I just have to ask my photo-snapping friend for some of her appealing shots, or rather, pictures I took on her magnificent Canon but then was forced to lug around town for the rest of day.
But more about Beijing! We'll be spending a week in central Beijing, and the to Shangxi Province for another. Any suggestions for some souvenir shopping? I was thinking something along the lines of some traditional jewellery or slippers? Any recommendations welcome!
So far, I'm looking forward to some intense heat and some time in a completely different place from home. I'm also dying for the exquisite food and the opportunity to see the Great Wall - a childhood aspiration of mine. Accompanying me will, of course, be my Lomo LC A+, my new favourite camera after my 35mm Nikon (which is too high maintenance, so it's staying home, poor thing), and lots of colour negative film.

A photo is finally up! This is the Miniseri satchel (seen here) I was so excited about last month. Now that I can see a photograph I think I love it even more. Isn't it GORGEOUS? find it right over here.

Parisian Agenda

Here, amongst a few others, are some pictures I took last time I was in Paris. Some of them I hope will be re-created along the course of our trip, which happens to be tomorrow. The anticipation is building.

P A R I S !

Yes! you guessed it - Cendrillon and Friend are headed for Paree! We are setting off on Wednesday, intrepid travellers that we are (yes, y'all will be getting a travel outfit post, whether you like it or not) and have three days of French-packed adventure. For those of you who have followed my blog for a while, you may be saying to yourselves 'Ah, but she lives in France, does she not?' Well, ladies and gentlemen, I do, but half the excitement is roaming the boulevards with a dear friend by one's side, oui?
These three days will be stuffed to bursting with croissants and macarons alike, shopping in st Germain-des-Pres and trawling the vintage shops of the Marais, and eating many a delicious thing along the way. SO EXCITED!!!

Liberty of London for Nike

Let's return for just a moment to the original and infinitely appealing concept of Liberty-covered Nike shoes. Imagine, in your otherwise unremarkable running clothes - whether they consist of your boyfriend's stolen T-shirts and washed-out running shorts or your flashy sports leggings - a pair of these shoes will add instant perks to an otherwise generally unglamorous outfit.
